in games if he can't hit freethrows. Missed front end of 1 and 1 and 1st of two after that. 3 points were Huge!!!

That's an over reaction, we need JW in the game late just to keep from turning it over. Plus I have confidence in his ability to hit clutch shots.

His free throws won us the game @ Texas. He's our best ball handler too.

we have no other true PG on the roster - whatever growing pains he's going through now have to remember he's still a true freshman and it's going to pay huge dividends downthe line.

Who do you want to use to handle the ball?

Yes, he's a freshman and is going to make some mistakes but he's still our best option.

I don't agree that Woodard shouldn't be on the floor at the end of the game. For one, he's our best ball handler. Clark and Cousins are the only two players shooting a better percentage from the free throw line, and they don't handle the ball as well as Jordan. He also gets to the line more. He has taken 50 more throws then everyone on the team, except Cam, who is still behind Jordan by 24 tries.

He can only get better being exposed to those situations. Not sure LK didn't have Hornbeak in there to get him back in the flow of real game situaions again.

Guys, take a deep breath, I Love Woodard and agree that he is our best handler but several times he has missed key free throws - yes his percentage is good but if you look at his % AT CLUTCH time it is not near as good. Maybe put Cousins at the point in tight end of game situations. Again, I love him but that crap is gonna cost us- facts are hard to swallow sometimes but it is what it is.

What is his clutch %?

Lest anyone forget, Jordan is still a freshman. He will be fine!

Rediculous...Cousins at the point late in games? No thank you. Turnover machine in tight spaces who consistently over-handles and has some of the worst shot selection on the team (even though he has been hitting at a decent rate this year). Woodard will be fine...he has already hit huge free throws this season, and hasn't missed any more clutch free throws than Clark, Hield or Spangler. Woodard has made a legendary high school career of being the ultimate closer...he will be fine as they continue to progress. Dumb argument...give me Woodard in that situation 10 out of 10 times...he will produce.

Maybe he wouldnt have missed those free throws if he didnt have to wait 15 minutes to shoot them.

Woodard needs to play a lot better than he's played in conference play or we are in serious trouble. He's not been that good overall in conference play.

On the box score Woodard had 8 assists to 2 turnovers and a steal in 32 minutes. He makes mistake but seems to be the best ball handler by far on the team.

What would you want from a pg beyond his play today? From a freshman mind you? Remember Cousins last year? Do you not see the huge difference in this team with Woodard at the helm? Unbelievable...
