Rivals 150 - 2013

We are in on SO much talent from that class.

My dream class that is somewhat realistic, and fits roster needs:

1. Nigel Williams-Goss
2. Stevie Clark OR Juwan Parker
3. Karviar Shepherd/Dominic Woodson/Jordan Mickey
4. *

If we land a combination of those first three, I'll take any big man that has two legs for the 4th scholarship.

Nigel W-G is a nice player and I wouldn't mind having him but I think he's ranked too high.
Also, where's Marcus Foster? Dude is a stud.

Give me Clark, Parker, Woodson and Foster, and I'd be a happy man!

Clark and D. Woodson are the two most imprtant targets IMO. It would be real nice to get a highly rated HS center with some good size. I think Clark is going to be incredible in college and I have a good feeling about him going to OU.

If we only have 4 to give (assuming J Henry gets the other)

1) Clark
2) Woodson
3) Woodward
4) Parker

Guys, I think we need to split the 4 ships between bigs and guards, to keep a good balance. We're losing 3 bigs, and 2 guards, but we're Cole is taking the place of one of the bigs.

We only have 4 without Henry, or 3 with. Cole gets a scholarship that year, he takes the "5th" one.

What am I saying? I would be thrilled beyond belief with any three recruits posters on this thread have already named!

The 2013 class is going to be very important to our program's future. I'm excited about it, but also worried that we won't get the players we want.

Based on what I've seen of most of these kids, our coaches will see dramatic improvements in some, and much less in others, compared to what they saw, even as recently as the HS season. The rankings and our targets will likely adjust accordingly, as this spring/summer plays out. Don't be surprised if a couple of kids NOT on the rankings list, become primary targets as a result.

Daze I assume your hinting at guys like Foster, Hammonds and Hawkins? Hawkins really intrigues me after I believe that you posted about he was becoming quicker earlier this spring? Is that true, because he seems the most skilled of those three from previous viewings.

Sam, Hawkins seems like an entirely different player right now. Tony Johnson thinks he's had an outstanding spring so far and will have a huge summer. He is by far the most skilled and versatile. He'll be able to play 1, 2, and 3 in college. He's not as explosive as Foster, but I watched him play the Houston Defenders' Harrison twins to basically a head to head draw a few weeks ago, and they're ranked in the top 10 in all the services pretty much. He's way more athletic than last summer. Saw a couple of windmill and 360 dunks out of him in warmups that shocked me.

As far as 2013's go, and in addition to the three you named, I think there's a strong chance that a couple of kids from that team like Ben Emelogu, Zach Coleman, and Ridge Shipley, have a chance to jump into the high-major picture. There's also a kid named Greg Wesley playing for the Titans this summer that's a freak athlete and could make some HM noise. Another Titan, Marquan Botley, is also markedly better, and deserves a mention.
