Taylor Robertson set a Big 12 single-season record for 3-pointers in a season but Oklahoma fell to Texas, 86-76, Saturday night in Austin.

Robertson tied the record on her first shot of the game, then made her 123rd trey of the season in the third quarter to set the record.

The previous record of 122 was held by Kansas State's Laurie Koehn during 2002-03.

Texas' Celeste Taylor led all scorers with 27 points. Madi Wiliams scored 25 points and pulled down seven rebounds for the Sooners (12-16, 5-11).

OU freshman Gabby Gregory chipped in 21 points and shot 5-for-8 from beyond the arc. Robertson finished the night with 10 points.

Ana Llanusa added 10 points and Mandy Simpson grabbed 11 rebounds for the Sooners.

The Longhorns (18-10, 10-6) out-shot the Sooners 47.5% (29-for-61) to 38.6% (27-for-70).

Staff reports

She loves OU. But if the woman had a brain in her head, she transfer to a winning program or one on the upswing PDQ. Truth is, she could probably have her pick of where to go.

I doubt she would have her pick. A great shooter but brings little else to the table. Poor passer, ball handler, rebounder and her defense is zero. She plays hard and once again a great shooter, which is great, but not much else.

Sorry Leroy but don't agree. She is a solid passer and does good on defense except for one on one. One of the best on the team with help defense and usually low in turnovers.

If she was in a program that had a strong half court offense and had coaches that helped her develop a more rounded offensive game she would be really tough. Can't believe that she hasn't developed a mid range pull up jumper.

Hoping T R doesn't transfer but if she were to go could she take SC with her.

Low on turnovers because she usually shoots when she has the ball. When she helps on defense, she can't get back to her girl to stop a shot. Or if she does the girl drives right past her. She hasn't developed a mid range jumper because her first step is slow and can't get any space. Last home game when they face guarded her, she would go back door like she should but turned it over trying to pass. Still she is our best offensive player.
