Clark went 3/11 and 1/7 in his debut. He played 37 minutes against Xavier. Butler was worried about there outside shooting this season and Clark was supposed to be the answer.

I know it's only the first game, but I will be keeping an eye on who has a better shooting season between him and Pledger (as rumors had it that one of the reasons Clark didn't come to OU was because he wasn't sure he could beat out Pledger.)

Thought it was him and Willie's ability to play nice?

I had heard it was because we still (don't get me started) hadn't heard back from the NCAA on possible penalties. Would have been great having Rotnei on the scout squad last year. Would have added another shooter off the bench this year.

It wasn't his debut. He had 21 points in 22 minutes 5-10 from three against Elon.

Butler got crushed.

Brad Stephens should have left Butler. I am sure he will do a respectable job but he is not going to turn them into a consistent power. He just happened to have a couple of NBA players surrounded by the right group of support players to have a magical season followed by a really good season.

Back to back finals appearances denver! Cmon that is impressive not just a really good season.

No big time jobs came open during his run. I think he'll wait until something comes up open that's a guarantee he can win at. UCLA could very well be opening up after this season.

Butler will be fine. Stevens can coach and he truly loves it at Butler.

I don't care what team they would have played for, but I would have loved to have seen Clarke and Page play on the same team. I think it would have been entertaining to watch.

Rotnei would not have been coming off the bench. He'd be our best offensive player!!! No doubt in my mind!!!

They did in middle school...! No lie!

I don't think you can assume he'd be starting, when we don't even know what the roster would look like. Somebody, likely a guard, that is currently on the roster, might not be otherwise.

Tough to start both Clark and Pledger, and IMO, it'd be tough to sit Pledger. I don't know. A year ago, I'd have said we needed him. Looking at the current roster, I'm not sure we really do. Having him would have further divided the team between which style of play fits them best.

And I say that as a HUGE fan of both Pledger and Clark.

You guys that dissagree obviously didn't see him play at Arky. They weren't very good, but you could see the defensive gameplan by their opponent in every one of their games was to not let Rotnei beat them. I'm not saying he's an all-american or anything, but we don't have anybody on our roster that gets the kind of defensive attention I saw him getting 2 years ago. The other team wouldn't even help off of him on pick and roll rotations or anything. He has weaknesses(athleticism), but he can shoot it!!!!!

The last thing we need is a guy that needs the entire offense set up for him to get a shot because he's not athletic enough to get his own... And, by definition that would make him more of a liability than an asset.

At best, it makes him a situational shooter... and if that guy is your best offensive player, then you are in some serious trouble. Just ask coach pelfrey...

Offensively he is almost a clone of Pledger, only smaller, and probably a hair quicker.

Pledger shot 42% from three last year.

Clarke shot 43% and 44% his last two full seasons.

And Pledger too more two point attempts, and shot a higher percentage from there.

Like I said, pretty close to the same player, really.
