If he can improve enough over the offseason where he can be consistently shoot close to how he did last night, that would be huge. Captain obvious, I know, but just sayin.

He was 7-9 from the field. He is not going to be close to what he shot last night on a percentage basis but if he can shoot close to 50% from the field next season (even if he doesn't take 3 point shots), it will make a big difference. If nothing else he proved you have to defend him.

I fully expect Grooms to be our most improved player next season, particularly if we add a fourth legitimate scoring option on the perimeter.

He has been shooting much better the last couple games. He seems too timid to shoot most of the time though. He started off last night making his own shots and then looked to pass most of the rest of the game.

It sounds like LK and the staff have really been working on the shot from just outside the elbow with Grooms. He is being given that shot, open, most nights. He reminded me a little big of Rondo last night. Quick with the ball to the lane, then using his body and head to either get by the defender, or to pull up for the shot. Excellent game from him.

rondo's a good example.
much like westbrook, if he can really perfect that elbow shot while continuing to be aggresive with getting to the hole, he will be really good

You are comparing Grooms to Westbrook?

:facepalm

I thought Sam's shot look good last night. But the thing I noticed is that he was taking shots in the flow of the game, with no hesitation or second-thought. Maybe that's what he needed to do all along.

it's obvious you are a senile old man

He isn't the one that put Grooms and Westbrook in the same sentence. I have seen very little from Grooms to remind we of Westbrook or Rondo. Those guys are both fantastic NBA players that are incredible athletes compared to professional basketball players. Grooms is a nice college player but he has a long, long way to go before he is like Rondo or Westbrook.

Has Grooms even dunked this year?

He has to be aggressive. He was at the start and towards the end of the game. Its not just his jump shot. He has to get the ball to rim and look for the shot or the dump off like he had to CJ.

Wow, people really need to review reading comprehension

Sam's shot looks fine, his motion is slow though, which is why I assume he hesitates. If he can hit that shot the rest of the year, it will make it much easier for him to get to the hoop as well.
