It was suggested in another thread that Hardrick and Thompson are both gone. I'll leave them in the chart below, for the time being. Also, am I correct that Honore is NOT on scholarship? If so, that leaves us with two openings as things stand now. And given the fact that we have no incoming freshman, signing one or two, just for class balance, probably makes sense. As much as I'm for signing the right Juco's, that is really going to create a problem in 2 years when all of those guys graduate. Potentially, a BIG problem.

Depending on how talented Osby and Goff are, I'm not certain our bigger need is not at guard.

hardrick is gone and has been most of the semester also osby is not a post he is a wing

He's a wing that will likely play the 4 position by default. Also the knock on him is his ballhandling.

Hardrick was with the team at the LK introduction yesterday (I think). Until I see something official, it makes more sense to leave him on the roster, and note that he may be gone.

Time will tell on Osby. I'd just about guarantee he starts at the 4/5 spot this year. I don't care how athletic he is, he is still a big boy that will be better suited pulling 4's away from the hoop. JMO.

No way he plays 1 minute at the 5 barring injury or foul trouble going with a small lineup. He will play the 3/4 spots.

I sat right behind the team at the press conference yesterday and Hardrick was the only player that was not there.

Depends how you define "playing the 5". If he plays the 4, opposite of Fitz, and Fitz isn't tall enough to defend the opposing 5, or if they get switched, or if Osby is just a better post defender than Fitz, well.....in a way, he is playing the 5. To me, that is MUCH more likely then him getting minutes at the 3. I'd have thought OU fans would have learned their lesson with all the Taylor Griffin playing the 3 talk. It didn't happen, for a lot of reasons. Same with Osby. Besides, that pushes Cam to the two, and Cam isn't a 2. So then you'd have 2 guys out of position. Cam is about as true a 3 as you can get in today's college game. If nothing else, by default, that makes Osby the 4.

Thought I saw him, but I was watching on a small monitor. If he is gone, boom, we have another 'ship available.

Ok he won't play the 5 on offense. I could see him possibly guarding the opposing teams 5. But I think he'll still only guard 3's and 4's. I think we'll see a healthy dose of Goff guarding the 5 spot.

Cool. That is certainly one scholarship we can probably put to better use. I don't care as much about Thompson's, b/c he'll graduate this year, and we still have what, 3 to use if Hardrick is gone? Doubt we'd need that 4th one.

Looking at that huge junior class, I'd say that next year (2012) is a VERY important recruiting class for LK. He needs to land a couple of solid players that can learn their freshman year, and be ready to lead the team as sophs (behind Cam, maybe). Might go heavy after Juco's in the 2013 class as well, to get an influx of experience/talent once that class graduates.

It would be great class balance if we can use the ships for Richardson and/or Raney. And the other to Jarion Henry.

Henry reportedly has some attitude problems on the court. Not sure if he would be a good fit unless Kruger can get him to check is attutide.

So our 2013 recruiting class has the potential to be a pretty big one, in terms of number of players, right?

Soonersports.com says Hardrick and Thompson are still on the MB roster, we'll see if that changes.

Looking at UNLV Minutes this past season, It looks like the played a four who was more like a three. After looking in depth, they played four perimeter types with one Big.
