Secondary violations

they cheated and THIS is the result?

Do they offer cheating classes somewhere?

I remember seeing Ralph Wiggum say he cheated wrong by putting the Ralph answers on the Lisa name paper.

That's what I'm saying if were getting violations at least let us be winning because of them..

The secondary violations that were committed on the official visits could be something as stupid as the recruit accidentally getting a free Gatorade or him having a conversation with Toby Keith after the game (yes, that's a violation). It's nothing. Stop making something a big deal that isn't.

The most interesting part of the entire article, to me, was this:

According to a letter sent to NCAA director of secondary enforcement Chris Strobel, the university started an investigation after a player refused to sign a weekly practice log and then provided Oklahoma’s compliance director with a recording of defensive backs coach Willie Martinez asking why he had missed a voluntary workout.

I'd like to know who the player is that recorded Coach Martinez and then handed it over to the compliance department? Surely the kids going to transfer elsewhere...

As for the basketball allegations, I think it's funny that all the posters on here who ripped Kelvin for making phone calls and now our staff is still breaking that rule. It just goes to show you how vague the rule is and how much the NCAA was going to make a statement with Kelvin and a top 20 program on enforcing the rule. To me, impermissible phone call violations are nothing to get upset about, so the last paragraph is a non-issue.

Besides, I would be willing to bet the 2 assistants that made the calls were either the 2 new assistants just hired, or Goodman who was just elevated to asst coach last year (although I doubt he did because he seems pretty intelligent given his background -- Bucknell).
