Selection Sunday with reactions

I have 0 expectations for next year no matter who OU gets or who stays/leaves. Really don’t know w Moser
Bummer Moser stifles our players on offense. Half looked like they'd come down from spaceships and had never shot a basketball in some games this year

And it's why I want Will damn Wade, lol. It's a business that revolves around having the best players (more often than not). You end up with a good-to-great roster at Loyola? You make the dance (and advance). You build average-to-bad rosters at OU, you get left out 2 out of 3 years.

Every single time we have the fire Moser debate, and I partake, I say Moser is a good coach but he hasn't done a good job building his OU rosters. For example: he let Noland and Cortes stay on the roster 2 years too long.

This was his best roster build and it still had so many issues...which, obviously, culminated in a bad stretch run and missing the tourney.

OU has to get serious about NIL and the program as a whole. I hope DePaul was used for that or we're **** out of luck.

Portal opens tomorrow. I guess we'll see what happens. I don't think this staff can competently build a roster that will get OU safely in the tourney but I hope I'm dead wrong (like thinking OU would get in, lol).
Easily the best take on this board in several months.

We definitely need a center. I forgot how important it was until I saw Colorado and Oregon play.

I was thinking about this earlier: remember all the dunks that our explosive athletes got in the NET 300 games? How many dunks did we see down the stretch, when we were back to our plodding style against teams that could match or come close to matching us athletically?

The good news is, our guys should be rested and ready since we treated the TCU game like an exhibition. And thank goodness Waldo was in the game with two minutes left in Austin.

Honestly. Winning 25% of the quad 1 games is actually pretty embarrassing. Its like in the big 12 when you have that many, you're due to win at least that many.. moser just never gets us over humps. Never rolls over successes and big games to the next. Were just as likely to start a game 0 to 12 off a big win as a loss.

hes just a fraud man

To be fair, he brought in an out-of-shape five man while talking about how fast he wanted to play.

It’s funny looking back: we hoped and thought UVA losing was a good thing, but we underestimated how ballsy NC State was. I had a feeling Oregon would steal a bid, and that someone might upset FAU. But I figured NC State would run out of steam against UNC.

Oof. I had a poll going into recruiting asking how many 5s we should have signed. I think my vote was like 2 or even 3. Instead, we sign 1, who was out of shape and guess what, he got hurt so we had to bleed our walk on and play our 3rd string a lot and even Yaya who should never play at OU got some minutes.

Porter just cannot ever get a 5 man. He'll never get a krutwig again

This was literally the only portal addition you applauded.
Because I had no way of knowing he was out of shape. Believe it or not, I don’t get to see the players in the spring and summer. But as soon as Moser said in an interview that he needed to get in shape, it raised red flags.

i was thinking the same. non existent. i made several positive comments in the noncn about our lobs and oops.

oops.

And the thing is, there is no reason that couldn’t have still been part of our game. Sure, not as often against good teams, but if we played to our roster’s strengths, we could still have used our athleticism.

He looked the same as he has his whole career. He's never been in good shape. You didn't need to see him in summer workouts if you watched his game film. This is why I (and many others on here) preferred a more athletic big. Admittedly, most of the guys I wanted instead were equally if not more uninspiring. Collins and Traore probably wouldn't have helped, but Lubin would have.
