Several players coming out publicly claiming Sherri made racist statements, treated White players better. G. Carter, EJ and others.

Kaylon Williams, T’ona Edwards and Shaina Pellington have publicly agreed. Then you have Lyndsey Cloman, Gileysa Penzo and even Madi Williams liking and retweeting everything that’s said. They just keep slowing coming out one by one.

Add Jacqueline Jeffcoat to that list. She responded to Gioya’s tweet:

Hey sis. I played for Sherri 2010-12. She hit me with several racist comments after we went to Monticello in Virginia ... Thomas Jefferson’s plantation. How insensitive. Told me to take down a post Bc I felt strongly about it. Im with you.

Whitney Hand and Morgan Hook to the rescue????

With Morgan being Sherri's daughter-in-law nothing she says can have much of an impact. She knows what which side of the bread is buttered at her house.

I was being tongue-in-cheek. I know neither of them will comment-or, if they do, it will be in support.

I think they almost have to hire a head coach of color or the program is, once again, doomed.

Look at Sherri’s recent tweets. It’s like she almost knew something was coming.

Why didn't they transfer? Why is it coming out now? Why did they help recruit other black players? It seems to convenient to me. None of the old time players are on that list. Why would C Paris come back and coach with Coale.

It was said at the time because the season overseas was cancelled by COVID

1) Some of the players DIS in fact transfer (Jeffcoat and Pellington), there was something crazy going on with Pellington.
2) It is coming out now because of Black Lives Matter and the actions of Lincoln Riley and the OU Football team.
3) Everybody wants to win so yes they would recruit good players.
4) This is a good question but reality is that women's basketball is much different than it was in the early years of Sherri's career, she has not adapted.
5) She needed a job and Sherri gave her one, her basketball career had just ended.

Recruiting has been really strange for quite some time. OU would be on a top player and the staff making progress then Sherri would come in and say "we are not recruiting this person anymore." This is why the program has faltered. OU is getting whipped in Oklahoma for recruits and by the way, the crowds are gone. However, the comments by former players meshes with this recruiting effort. She is recruiting like she is coaching at Oklahoma Christian. It will take years for OU to compete in the Big 12 against Mulkey at Baylor or Schaefer at Texas. It is going to get ugly.

Why Joe C. gave her a 4 year extension is beyond me. There is no doubt that she has big donor backers. Over the past two years, she has gone 20-40 overall and 9-27 in conference play. They averaged 8K a game when Courtney Paris was playing and if you really counted the fans in the LNC now except for Baylor and Texas, you would get several hundred.

Dionnah Jackson-Durrett!!!

Having to start from scratch DJD would be a good selection as she has experienced the Vic Schaefer method for building a team. And for certain after coaching under Vic for 5 seasons she would commence implementing the missing ingredient of a quality defensive immediately.

DJD definitely checks a lot of boxes for a new Sooner WBB coach. But there may also be an experienced proven head coach at a smaller school that better meets OU's needs and wants a $500K+ coaching job. I would love to get to find out who wants to replace Sherri ASAP.

Perfect chance for Joe to undue his mistake in extending her.

I don't think Sherri should still be coaching at OU due to a decade of progressive decline. I absolutely don't buy this racism narrative.
