Agreed...but Hornbeak needs to be more assertive. Buddy's in a bit of a slump. His motion is pure, and I expect him to shoot better next year.

I find it interesting that of Hornbeak's 7 made field goals, 5 of them are 3s. And if I remember correctly those 3s were completely uncontested. I do agree that he needs to be a little more assertive on offense. The kid can score and it would help open up things for everyone else on the court.

Now that I know that Osby is 3-3 from downtown in conference play I am going to get my hopes up every time he releases from beyond the arc.

Buddy is in a slump and I believe if he shot more he'd come out of it.

Buddy's appears to have a drive-first mindset that could be having an effect on his shooting percentages. His shot looks good when he's prepared to release it in the flow of the game without any hesitation.

I am hopeful that Steven Pledger has a strong finish to his senior season. Prior to this season his shooting averages looked like this:

Season --- FG % --- 3pt %

2009-10 --- .338 --- .338
2010-11 --- .393 --- .350
2011-12 --- .459 --- .416

3 YR Avg --- .419 --- .371

In conference games this season, Steven is getting 26.2 minutes per game, which is tied for the 3rd most minutes played on the team.
