Sorry, unless M'Baye is tremendous and the two freshman guards are 3-point marksman, it's not going to happen.

It's going to be a long process to get back. The 2013 class is everything to this program right now.

I say yes. But the key is can Hornbeak or even Kruger (the nephew) come in and spell grooms at the point. I think as long as Blair is our 3rd option at 2 and only 2 we are going to be ok. M'Baye will take some minutes away from Fitz and Osby, that will benefit all three.

I agree that 2013's class is huge for the next decade of OU bball.

As of now, I'd say no way! This team has too many holes and weaknesses to win enough games to qualify for an NCAA birth.

That said, I reserve the right to change my mind after I see how the newbies perform to begin the season. It wouldn't hurt if Kruger signed a player who can score from anywhere outside of fifteen feet with the clock running.

If we had won 18-20 games this year and gone to the NIT, I could have seen winning 20-25 games next year and going to the NCAA tourney. But we had a losing record. NIT next year should be where we end up.

I dont see the NCAA tourney next year or the following year after losing Osby, Fitzgerald, and Pledger. We lose 6 seniors after next year and will be replacing them with freshmen or juco guys. I see us being worse in 2013-2014 than in 2012-2013.

If M'Baye is as good as advertised, OU will make the NCAA Tournament. That single player gives OU 8-10 points a game coming off the bench as well as rebounding and (unless Fitzgerald comes off the bench) athleticism (assuming Clark or M'Baye comes off the bench. Additionally, Hield and Hornbeak are kids that can score points. They will make a difference. If nothing else, they let Pledger rest for 5 more minutes a game.

Im in, I think we can pull off a 9-9 type of campaign in conference next season. Which should be good enough to get the job done.

Put me down. We'll be top half of the Conference and win a couple conference tourney games. We lack depth and one more year experience for Grooms can't hurt. We didn't get blown out in any game except the Mizzou game. Adding M'Baye and the guards coming in will be a big help.

As of right now, I'd say NCAA bubble team is our ceiling next year. I've come to realize over the last few games that this team just has too many holes in it, holes that M'Baye and two freshmen guards, no matter how solid, probably can't fix alone. If we were to somehow land a solid JUCO or two, I might change my mind.
