Agreed, it's like they go way out of their to pacify the osu fans who make up about 20% of the population. Makes no sense, you would think if they were going to do something on purpose they would homer for the 80%.

It's a toss up game, and most of the "intangibles" go to SDS. OU can certainly win the game.....if they played 10 times, no team would probably win more than 6 of them.

But if you are looking at intangibles, it's hard not to give the nod to SDS.

Their players have Tournament experience. Ours don't. They play better defense than we do. Teams that defend at a high level have had success against us this year. Fisher has had some success against Kruger.

None of those things mean OU cannot win, but there aren't many intangibles in our favor. Like I said, it's a toss up, but I don't have a problem with people thinking SDS is probably slightly more likely to win this game.

I think they're perfectly fine with having OU lose, just because it's a personal thing for so many of them. Anyone who thinks that the DOK has a bunch of "OU homers" on the staff is kidding themselves.

It's not even a big secret that most of the "braintrust" was hired by a guy who hated OU - before he died. They also have a major love affair with the whole "lovable underdog" storyline for whatever OSU team they're openly promoting.

But, I agree. There's really not much logic to having a local newspaper spend so much time downgrading the more "local" of the two schools. But, I still believe if you slipped their editors and columnists some truth serum, they'd admit that they just like OSU better.

Obviously ALOT of us care. If you don't then don't worry about it. And my Boxers are all straightened out, LOL. What is "trivial" to you might be key to us - and what you think is important I think many of us would think it is foolishness.

And HONESTLY, I AM glad that they picked against us because most of the time their staff is about 70% wrong so WHAT I WAS SAYING is that it is truly a good thing that they picked against us!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly. I just don't get it. People want the local media to be slightly biased towards the local team. I can assure you the Statesman is slightly biased towards UT. The Denver Post was slightly biased towards CU and Denver professional teams. OKC and Tulsa are th only papers I have read where I have consistently felt like the local media has a beef with the local team.

It's almost become the Kiss of Death for OSU football. The fishwrap has picked OSU almost every year since about 2008.
