Big XII teaming with the SEC to form their own version of the Rose Bowl.

Let's see... equal payout and they have to share their side with deadweight A&M and Mizzou and we don't. Lol

Agreed.

The fat of ATM and Mizzou has been trimmed.

Oh, and to any Aggie or Tiger fan excited they might get to exact "revenge" on the Big 12 with this deal.....lllllllllllooooooooollllllllllllllllll, this deal is for the big boys. Maybe ATM and Mizzou can find a deal to play the MAC in the bowl season? Maybe the MAC champion can play the 6-6 Missouri Tigers in the egg on your face bowl game?

The only thing bad about this deal is the actual champs will rarely, rarely get to play each other in this game, but then again they would probably being playing in the playoff.

Nope. But you do get to share it with deadweight Baylor, kansas, kansas state, Iowa State, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech and West Virginia.

Congrats on what will basically amount to about $400,000 more per school (for a game that will likely end up being revenue neutral like most other bowl games).

Obviously a sign of a healthy conference.

Play, at worst this Bowl will surpass the Capital One bowl and the Big XII will play the SEC runner up and never be paired with Uconn etc.

It's a big deal that the SEC is slotting the Big XII above the Big 10.

TCU, West Virginia, Oklahoma State & Kansas are all recent BCS bowl champions. Hardly dead weight. The SEC is crystal clear in their belief that the Big XII is their power football peer. The conference is stronger than ever and this deal reflects that.

As for Mizzou, they are the same non factor as always who will never appear in this game.

Good to know you measure you conference based on how the SEC views it (i.e. better than the ACC or Big East).

Also good to know you consider kansas a major factor in college football. Definitely puts things into perspective.

LOL at a Mizzou fan calling TCU and WVU dead weight, both updrades over Mizzou.

This deal was made by OU, Alabama, Texas & Florida. They know in the years they don't make the national title cut they will face off in this game and never again get stuck playing Uconn, Hawaii, Utah, Boise like had been happening in the Sugar/Fiesta.

As for Mizzou like play said, nothing for you to see here. Enjoy the music ****ty bowl in the rare times you qualify for a bowl.

Agree that this game is designed to prevent OU vs. Boise State or West Virginia type games. Instead it will produce OU vs. LSU or Florida type games.

Trammel was comparing this game to nothing but the Cotton Bowl, I was like WTH? It is nothing like the Cotton Bowl. Now I just wish Jerry World could get a BCS Championship Game designation so we can play close to home [if we make it of course].

Yeah, he is clueless. This game is replacing the Fiesta and Sugar Bowl. It's the equivalent of the Rose Bowl for the SEC and Big XII. Proof that not only is the Big XII stable, but more of a powerhouse than ever.

It's proof that the Big 12 and SEC are both tired of playing Big East, ACC or non-BCS teams in BCS games. It shows the Big 12 is still among the top four football conferences at the top. That's about it.
