So who do we pick to support in the NCAA's?

yeah Tennessee is a good choice too IMO. I like the coach and how they play.

Any mid major. Also growing up close to Memphis and Ole Miss I pull for them whenever they make the tourney.

And any Big 12 school except our rivals: Ok. State, Texas, KU.

I'll never root for osu, ku, or texas. Sorry, but I will never root for a rival. It's one of the reasons I never watch when our rivals play each other, it makes me too upset to know that one of them has to win.

EFF THAT. :mad::mad:

Big 12. Would really like to see Baylor and K-State do well. Hopefully the Pokes can get a good regional with a chance to advance.

I hope all the Big 12 teams get blown out.

I'm not sure if you're kidding or not, but I'm kind of with you. This isn't the SEC. I could care less about how the teams do in our conference except I guess to collect a bigger check from them for advancing through more rounds. But, I'll just go ahead and root for teams I like watching. Some may be from the Big 12, but some aren't. I'm certainly not rooting for OSU or texas though. That's just wrong.

It's better for OU if every team in the conference loses. I dont' understand how anyone can root for your conference. I can kinda see state pride for OSU or Tulsa, but conference pride is one of the stupidest things ever.

This.

Baylor, Pitt, and Kentucky ("Do the John Wall")

I won't root for OSWho. I'm not big on conference or state pride.

How is it better for OU if every team in the conference loses?

The Selection Committe is not made up of robots... they are human and subject to human subjectiveness.

If the Big 12 constantly lost all of its first-round games (as you are stating above) it would be BAD for every team in the conference. Bad in terms of bubble teams making the tournament and bad in terms of seeding the better teams.

Example: you watch -- this year both the Big 12 and Big East will get 7 teams in the Tournament... I'll bet a large sum of money that, on the whole, the Big East teams will get better seeds. Why? Because it is perceived as a more powerful conference, no matter what the numbers say.

The more the Big 12 is perceived as a powerful basketball conference, the better it will be for all of the programs. And how do you make that perception real? By consistently winning in March.

Most of the teams OU is recruiting against are in the Big 12. It is NOT good if those teams win for OU for that reason alone. I never get into conference pride and never really understand it.

Whoever is playing Kansas.

Oh wait, happy wife happy life, ahh F it, whoever is playing Kansas.

It will be because the top seven teams in the Big East are in the top half of their conference, but the seventh team in the Big 12 is in the bottom half of the conference. Seven teams for the Big 12 is a bigger deal than seven for the Big East.

We're not going to get killed up top, we're going to be hurting because after K-State there's no clear-cut three. And they're all pretty even until after seven. And they're probably more like 5-10 teams rather than 3-8.
