UPDATED Fall Festival Schedule:

Fri -Temple (TX) 8 pm
Sat -Howard (TX) 12:15 pm
Sat -East Central (OK) 4:45 pm
Sun -Seminole St. (OK) 1 pm

It's difficult to tell much when you're playing Howard, Temple, and East Central. We go to Arkansas November 1. Maybe we can get a better read on them. It does look like the Pitt transfer can hit.

Kady is the only one who hasn't played.

Is she hurt?
Parker is apparently the real deal. Regardless of the competition she has performed exceptionally well. Getting the freshmen off to such a hot start has to do wonders fro their confidence(and mine).
I dont understand the monthlong gap in scheduling here.
If the hitting so far is any indication, offense wont be a problem this year.
I love it that (most) everybody is getting a chance to play for all the obvious reasons: morale, competition, experience.

Kady Self has a torn ACL, It happened last season. She probably isn't ready right now due to the knee injury. I expect her back for the regular season though.

Actually, Erin Miller did not play this weekend. Evidently, they are working real close with Parker at pitching because she did not hit. The transfer from Pitt Nirschi really hit the ball.

Wow. Stevens fanned 18 batters in 8.1 innings. That's better than two strikeouts per inning. Not bad, even if it was against weaker competition.

One thing I liked about Parker is she only walked 1 batter in 11 innings.

I hadn't noticed that Erin hadn't played nor that Paige was not taking at bats. Apparently, they are focusing on her as a pitcher immediately.

What's up with Erin Miller not playing?

Erin Miller hit two Hrs on Friday night - part of the 11 homer barrage. By the way, Shelby Pendley won the annual triathlon. It also looks like she will pitch some this year. I thought she had picked up 3-4 mph on her fastball. Two freshman played the whole game, Nicole Pendley and Kelsey Arnold. It is early but it looks like Arnold is going to play third with Shelby Pendley at SS, Georgia Casey at 2nd, and Nicole Pendley in CF.

Gasso said the pitching staff will be the strength of the team. She also said Paige Parker will fight for a starting job at pitcher.

She further said Shelby Pendley has the best work ethic of any player she has ever seen. Said Lauren Chamberlain is not 100% but will continue to play thru the pain. She lives Ellis behind the plate.
