Terrific article filled with interesting facts and accolades for a team that has worked really hard to gain the respect of OU basketball fans again.

Congrats, guys! You have earned it.

This part is especially rewarding for fans like me who have suffered through three straight dismal seasons. It's been a long time since I have felt this good about our program's future:

● The Sooners, at 13-4 overall and 4-1 in the Big 12 Conference, are off to their best start in basketball since Blake Griffin's final season in 2008-09. Even if they play 50-50 ball the rest of the way, they would end up with a regular-season record of no worse than 19-11 and 10-8 in league play, a considerable improvement over their sub-.500 finish the past three seasons. Regardless of how things ultimately work out, head coach Lon Kruger and his staff have brought back an exciting brand of basketball to Lloyd Noble Center.
