Definitely going to be nice player.. He led a good conference in 3pt shooting percentage. Always need guys like that. Buddy was such a good all-around player, but I am trying to remember the last great pure 3pt shooter OU had? Was it Mike Neal?
I am thinking of guys who were more one-dimensional... Kelley Newton, Mike Neal, Eric Martin, Tim Heskett.
In the last 18 years, as far as pure 3 point shooters go:
1. Buddy - it's not even close.
2. Kelley Newton
3. JR Raymond
4. Hollis Price
5. Tim Heskett
5. Quannas White
6. Tommy Mason Griffin

I may put Neal on this list instead of TMG. He went through a long stretch where I was stunned any time he missed an open three.
Pledger had deficiencies but he could shoot.
Neal was nothing short of tremendous his first year, but his second year he could barely make anything. I think there was an issue though, might have been an injury? I can't quite place it. I remember like you though, that first year if he hit the rim when he was on, let alone miss, it was a real shock.
