What kind of production do you think Spangler will bring come conference play this year?

I'm thinking 8/8. I really do think he will be a legit rebounder at the Big 12 level and get a few clean-up buckets every game. I hope he will eventually become like Romero in his ability to place the face up game off of pick and rolls.

I think the 12pts and 10 Rebs range.

I have literally zero clue how good Spangler is, but if he averages those numbers in conference play, that would make him most likely the best rebounder in the conference. Perhaps by a decent margin. That's a lot to ask for a Sophomore.

Since 2008 only 3 people have averaged over 10 rebounds a game in the Big 12. Thomas Robinson, Cole Aldrich, and Blake Griffin. That is asking a lot of any player.

I said "range"... Lol. He is going to be a good one for us.

It depends on how well Bennett develops. If Bennet is the better defender and Cam performs well at PF Spangler won't play the minutes he needs to post big numbers. If he gets the minutes the 11-7 estimate is probably about right.

He'll (Spangler) be our best post player. Zero doubt about that.

Kruger isn't going to play anybody 90% of the minutes.

Ya I was probably off just a little, but I guess 30-35 minutes a game is pretty close, and that is what a very good source told me they were going to try to keep Spangler on the court for, barring any foul trouble.
