That can't be a good formula for OU as TCU really never had an in-roads to Texas' top talent.

This can't be good news for the Big12 teams.

When has TCU ever really gotten top Texas talent? Not that we've really done a great job recruiting top Texas talent either.

In football, maybe. They're going to need to do a lot more than slap the Big East name on their piece of crap basketball program if they want to pull in high level recruits. They haven't had a winning season since 2005, and I doubt they start anytime soon.

DePaul didn't start cleaning up Chicago recruiting because they signed on with the Big East. This will be no different.

They will be a bottom feeder in the Big East. Not really a concern.

It COULD be no different. Or they might sign signing top dallas area and texas talent with the promise of being on television, staying close to home, and getting PT.

It COULD be like Baylor under Scott Drew, in other words.

It could, but I highly doubt it. They would have to get a guy as relentless as Drew for that to have even the remote chance of happening, IMO.

When was the last time TCU was relevant? The Tubbs era?

It may draw a few Texas products, but the majority will be split between the big12 South top 5. I believer Texas recruits are a bit overrated. Don't get me wrong, some are very good, but a lot of the guys that get some of the fan fair aren't worth the hype.

TCU is going to get pounded in the Big East...for years to come.

Yeah, but I don't think they'll care because they'll be in bcs bowls. Also, them being in bcs bowls is going to help their recruiting. Again, I believe that the east coast prospects will put a hurting on Texas recruits.

If the Big East adds say a Houston then I could see them getting more Texas recruits. But one Texas school that doesn't have that many people going there won't change much. TCU doesn't even really recruit that many big time Texas players right now. They are getting the guys that the Big 12 doesn't want and winning with over achievers.

Know for a fact they won't care, direct quote from a friend who works in their athletic fundraising department about basketball getting shelled by the Big East...."who cares."

They might try to pour some resources in, but football drives that school.

TCU averages 2K fans per game or so. Their football fans are frontrunners and their basketball fans are even worse.

I'm worried about a lot of programs passing us by with Capel at the helm, but TCU isn't one of them.

They legitimately have one of the worst arenas I have ever been in.
