To me, these are the keys to a deep run or an early exit.

Among the top 4 seeds, only 5 teams push tempo: ISU, OU, Kansas, Arizona, and UNC. The rest are mostly slow it down and slug it out teams. Virginia, for instance, is the second slowest team in college basketball. If we can push tempo, we can beat them.

Push the tempo and throw it inside/out gets us easy points and lets our defense set up. That makes us a tough out.

These are THE KEY WORDS. I swear I don't feel like we utilize Thomas enough. People say he "disappears" and I think that's crap. It's hard to be relevant when they don't pass it in to you. Lon needs to feed the beast until they just absolutely shut him down then start kicking it out to buddy and cousins. It's seriously the recipe for success. Would rather shoot 50% inside then 25% outside jumpers.

I dont understand why we don't spread it out and hit him in the high post more. I think we could ride him like a mule for 20+ ppg aside from trash. He has good passing skills and a really nice little mid-range shot not to mention some finishing abilities.

It's NOT that he disappears. We dont use him enough.

To me the key is to play defense like they did against most of their opponents this season. Albany has seen nothing like it. I agree about playing inside out but you win with defense. Just defend and hold them to about 50 points. In fact, I would want to hold them under 50 points. OU just held OSU to 49 points. The committee says OSU is a 9 seed. They say Albany is a 14. That is substantially bigger difference than between OU and Kentucky in seeding.

Make these guys hit contested 3 point shots to score. Force turn overs. Destroy them on the boards. If OU does this they don't have to shoot well to win.
