In case anybody was wondering how that drama played out, I feel a little bad for Washington fans.

The NCAA really needs to punish schools for having one and dones. I think they should create a rule that a scholarship is for four years and if the player leaves early then you can't use the scholly for four years. I know this would have hurt OU however, it would clean up college ball to prevent Cali from doing his thing.

I feel sorry for T Jones, I don't think he ever knew where he wanted to go. He was more pressured into a situation. Coach Cal took advantage of this, heck we could have landed him after he committed to a UW if we just talked to him. But then again Jeff Capel has more class than to do that.

Terrence is equally scumbaggish here... Ultimately it is his decision to take whatever it is Calipari offers. He put on a Washington hat, listened to the scumbag, broke his word, and is dumb enough to be lured (or bribed) in.

The arguments between Kentucky and Washington fans on Jones' latest facebooks status are highly entertaining and downright sad.

Some highlights.
yea he is going to choke at UK so it doesnt matter hope he doesnt win blank....ever, he led us on verbally commiting to us then says c-ya im going to imbred filled Kentucky what a blank blank honestly, Hope Desmond Simmons Posterizes you next year blank

we didnt want you anyways, your just another one an done whos never gonna winn

Hey Terrence can I have your UW hat or did you lie to that too? Come on dude dont play it like you respect UW, you played Romar like a second class citizen, and now youre just a second class Terrence. Ross all the way man

hahahaha this is hilarious how mad the backwater program and backwater fans of pathetic UW are getting over this. Hey guys, when was the last time Washington won a title? You can hardly blame the guy for, you know, maybe having a bit of ambition. If you could buy a Bentley or a Ford which would you choose? Good choice Terrence, welcome to Big Blue Nation

IM TELLIN YOU, YOU SHOULD'VE GIVEN ALASKA PACIFIC UNIVERSITY A HARD LOOK, WHATEVER GOOD LUCK NEXT YEAR
Hate = envy... you will learn that when you play for a top program, Terrence. These people that are trashing you know nothing of tradition and history of bball. Get outta there and to Kentucky ASAP.

Now they have moved to meeting at the Wayman Tisdale Exhibit for a fight.
Haha. I've got brains... but son, I've also got some muscle. I beat the blank out of football players in high school, and can still hold my own against almost anyone.

umm more than you but you can take a look at my personal trainer, i workout with him almost every other day.

All I've got to say is.

P.S. - Sorry mods, I'm sure you'll delete this post but I just had to say it. It won't happen again. :) (In the near future anyway. ;) )

I hate it when kids de-commit...only if there is a good reason to aside from money or glits and glam

I think the ncaa either needs to get rid of the committing idea or impose penalties for guys to withdraw their committment....because committment to me is a verbal contract and no different then signing a peice of paper

The whole point of a verbal commitment is that it is different from a LOI. These are 17 and 18 year old kids making decisions that will affect the rest of their lives. They are often pressured by coaches and family to make a decision a certain way at a certain time. Sometimes after giving a verbal commitment, they receive information that makes a different situation more beneficial.

It is not fair to the players to take away their ability to change a verbal commitment. It isn't like coaches are prevented from changing schools, and they sign a written contract.

then whats the point of a verbal committment? we should just do away with that thinking that way coaches can continue to recruit without looking bad because they already have 6 committments and they only have 6 schollies

I think it really puts a college in a bad spot when a kid de-commits this late...so just get rid of that thought process and let the coaches to continue to recruit until the kid is signed...

Fine by me. The coaches are the ones pushing for meaningless verbal commitments. If a kid wants to be done with the recruiting process early, all he has to do is sign in the early period. It can be a bad situation for coaches and players. The only solution that I can see is to not have a "signing period." Just let kids sign whenever they want, then there is no need for verbal commitments. I just hope the kids don't regret their decision that coaches push them into.

PS The point of a verbal commitment is to state who a player currently intends to sign with. As it is not the actual LOI, it is open for change due to unforeseen information.
