It's so sickening watching the ESPN bias talking heads all saying Texas is in. This would never be going on if there wasn't a Longhorn network.

Oh....I don't know about that. The good news for Texas is that it doesn't look like any team is going to steal a bid in one of the major conferences. Every tournament is pretty much going to form except the SEC....and UK will win that tourney. Also, there were some other bubble teams around them that lost (Miami)....and some lost to bad teams (Old Dominion, Illinois). I think Texas sneaks in based on their performance tonight and over the last several weeks.

They're in, but they should've won tonight. They really wasted an opportunity.

They don't have 1 good win all season, despite their talent and schedule.

Imagine the team that worked all year to get a good seed only to draw UT in the opening round. Someone is going to be very upset b/c UT is definetly talented and will cause matchup problems for several teams.

Also.....screw Texa$$

KSU swept us. Texas is better than the Pokes now. Taylor is playing a lot better now, and their bigs are really good.

10-13 over there last 23 games, no one else would get in with that record.

Who would you put in over them?

Nearly every bubble team lost early in their conference tourney including A&M, Ole Miss, ODU, Illinois, etc.

Those losses helped Texas and Okie State tremendously.

The bubble is very soft this year, softer than most years it seems.

LOL. Some of our fans are like the "experts" at ESPN. Their hand drops to their lap every time the word "Texas" is mentioned.

It probably won't happen, but I'd love to see the committee gut punch Texas by putting Murray State in over them. While I'm admittedly biased, I think the tournament would be much better if a team like Murray State was rewarded for a great season over a team like Texas who farted away all the talent and resources in the world.

Unfortunately, the numbers don't really support this, but the committee has taken these kinds of fliers before and won big (e.g. no one thought VCU should have made it in in 2011, and they made the Final Four).

I think they are in, but it's only b/c of two reasons. Playing in a tough conference, and having most of the bubble teams they are competing against falling apart also. They shouldn't be in, but some other teams have to win some games too, to make that possible.

I agree. Texas will be in the field by default, but they certainly haven't "earned" their way in. Having said that, I wouldn't want to be the 5 seed that draws them in the 1st round either.

LOL at the "bubble is soft" stance...this gets said every year.

if texas getting in the dance helps barnes keep his job ... than by all means I hope they are in

I do not see why there are not more questions around OSU's resume...18-13 overall, losing record in conference play, RPI/BPI in the 40's, and really lousy down the stretch. From my point of view, that is the epitome of a team squarely on the bubble, however all of the talking heads list OSU as a lock.

+1. OSU swept Texas, so I get why they're considered to have a stronger resume. But if you look at just the raw numbers, there's really not a lot separating these two teams. OSU has a few more good wins, but Texas doesn't have the bad losses that OSU has.

And if you're applying the "eye test," I don't know who could watch OSU's games in the last month and conclude they're a tournament caliber team. Texas, on the other hand, has proven that it can go toe-to-toe with quality tournament caliber teams (ISU, Baylor, @ Kansas, @ West Virginia).

Osu swept Baylor and Texas both and got a win against Kansas. Yes they lost to TCU and Tech but ISU lost to tech too. I think Osu earned it...but definitely by the skin if their teeth.
