Gonna be a long conference season, fellas. When you need Carl freakin Blair to score 20 to keep you within 15 points of a terrible team, you've got serious problems.

That was a blowout, it didnt look like it at the end because they burned 35 seconds and didnt even got shots up the last few minutes, but they were up 10-15 the entire second half.

They didnt even blow very well, they just have more athletes. It was an athlete mismatch out there. I bet OSU doesnt win that easily in conference again all season.

It wasn't a blow out. Sorry. Just another attempt for abd to rile people up.

Being down 10-15 to a terrible team and having no chance of victory isnt a blowout?

We didn't get close enough to win it with a single shot, if that's what you mean, but we had many chances to pull closer down the stretch but couldn't get the shots to fall (or we got fouled with no whistle blown, something the announcers pointed out repeatedly). It could have been a very different game.

Look, that may have been oswho's best game of the season (I'm sure aggie fans will correct me), and it was one of our worst and we still were within striking distance at game's end.

If we continue to play exactly as we did last night and make no progress, you're right -- we're in for a long season.

But why would anyone think we won't play better than that? We were playing better just two weeks ago, and there's no reason to presume we won't play better again.

It's a rough patch we're going through, that's all. It happens to most teams at some point during the year. No one's less happy about last night's performance than me -- our play was dismal, and I'm convinced we blew a legit chance to sweep the aggies.

But panicking and predicting season-long doom and gloom is an overreaction.

I wouldn't use the term blowout, but the game was over was over at halftime. Neither team is good and will be feasted on by the better teams in the conference.

Another typical abd thread. I can't wait until we start winning again so he goes away.

That game was a dumpster fire.

I can't believe how far these two programs have fallen.

I miss when our programs were like this:

i wouldn't say it was over at half. It was over a little bit after half. We came out and score 5 in a row to cut it to 8. then osu answered and it was over

At least on OUs side it was all b/c our coach did something that is legal now:facepalm

Thebigad, you have been one of the bigger cheerleaders of how bad osu sucks this year. I'm not here to disagree with you, but I thought you would like to revisit some of your earlier posts.

and its not even close.

Dunk contest out there.. Olukemi, Nash, Williams, Cobbins, and Brown are all very high level athletes. Each one of those guys would probably be the most athletic player on OU's roster.

I can't believe they got picked 7th. They might win the damn thing.

LeBryan Nash has 24/11 so far in his debut... guy looks like Carmello Anthony out there

I agree with your assessment, Jeff. It was like both teams were in a contest to see who could stink it up the most. OU won that round.

Bedlam Part II will be interesting. Not that I'm looking forward to it if that was a sample of what we can expect. :facepalm

Myself and ksSooner13 are making it our mission to get LeBryan Nash T'd up when they come to Norman...so there's that.

Oh ya, they looked really talented and athletic on paper. But obviously they arent any good.

I think OSU has improved some since Gulley/Dowell left and Olukemi got hurt. They actually ran some offensive sets and got easy looks/dunks in the first half. They still don't shoot it very well and tend to play not to lose when they get a 2nd half lead, but their teamwork seems improved with the shorter bench.

I actually agree with this.

Also, one thing that has been pretty consistent all year is that this OSU does actually play some defense. Jurick is #2 in the Big 12 in blocked shots.

We're #31 in KenPom's adjusted defensive efficiency.

If we could get ANYTHING on the offense end, we would be a half-way decent team. Of our 7 losses, we played well enough defensively to win all but two of them (Stanford and Pitt). In those other five, we held all of the opponents under 70, and we held Texas under 60.

There was actually a 5-7 minute stretch in the second half last night where we moved the ball pretty well and looked better... but then we just go right back to sucking.

Wait, there was a time when OU and OSU were Top 25 basketball programs? I don't understand... #OutOfStateStudentProblems

Before last night Nash couldn't play his way out of a paper bag. OU comes to town and he looks like a future AA. Go figure! :facepalm

I agree. I pretty much told my brother (and OSU grad) the same thing. Both teams are bad and I am not certain a combined roster could win the conference. I am also not certain who would start on a combined team. Nash starts and I think Osby starts. Other than that I am not really sure.

I suspect OU will win in Norman. I don't think either team is winning many road games.

Edit - would pretty much characterize that game as a blowout. OSU controlled that second half.
