Dang. I jinxed him. Career low. Maybe I should just stick to the LNC.
Looks like Blake had a tough night again tonight. After getting hit in the face by Perkins he got decked by some no-name from New Orleans.
Reminds me a bit of his soph year at OU when people realized they couldnt stop him and just tried to cheap shot him all the time.
He can become a restricted free agent in 2013, but he'll be eligible for an extension this summer. No player on a rookie contract has ever turned down a max extension, so it's highly likely that Blake will sign a five-year extension. That would put him under contract through 2018, unless he has an opt-out clause in his extension. If the playoffs started today and OKC and the Clippers both advanced would they play in round two? I am hoping that happens. I will enjoy watching those games.
When does Blake Griffin become a free agent?
Not a no-name, but a generic name. He's not a star by any means, but he's been an NBA rotation player for his entire career. No name is pretty harsh, was the MWC player of the year at Colorado State and a first round draft pick. Play last night was BS though.
I don't know that he ever had the team. Who watched Vinny Del Negro's first coaching stint in Chicago and thought, "This guy would be a terrific hire for us!" Oh, yeah...Donald Sterling. Maybe their next coach will be someone who doesn't yell when an opposing player is in the middle of a free throw.Word on the street is that Vinny DelNegro has "lost the team." I wouldn't be surprised if he was fired any day now.
The only NBA game in which I ever saw Wayman play was when he was with the Pacers. They played at the Garden, and I had great seats, thanks to my boss.
Wayman didn't score a point.
Wait, which Garden are we talking about? And since Wayman was with the Pacers, it had to have been in the original Garden, with Bird, McHale, and Parish. I'd call that a good night.
I thought the Perkins play was inadvertent. If not for Blake's dunk on Perkins in their previous meeting, no one would have thought anything of it.that play by smith deserves a small suspension.
I didn't see the perkins play...was it a cheap shot?
Ah, I think you're right. Ironically, I started reading Bill Simmons' Book of Basketball last week on my flight to New York, and he refers to Boston Garden as "The Garden" instead of MSG, which probably explains my misinterpretation. I did go to MSG, and it was terrific.Wait, which Garden are we talking about?
I assumed they were talking MSG as the best arena in the world.
I've been to MSG for a college game and concert, but never an NBA game. Love the place, I heard the renovations are nice as well.Ah, I think you're right. As dirty as Smith's foul was, his reaction to it all was even worse. He was celebrating and egging on the crowd as if he were a professional wrestler. David Stern doesn't take kindly to lack of contrition, let alone those type of displays.
