The evolution of Austin Reaves

Didn't help us with Thompson or Collins. Or Alexander.

I always enjoy the time of year when Sooner fans start discussing our NBA prospects.

Anytime you can take a shot at the Sooners...

Alexander was out for the last 6 months!

I'm with you. You'd think with those three players to our credit, we'd never, ever miss out on a recruit again! Not in our lifetimes, at least.

Fire Kruger!

A statement was made that getting Blake/Buddy/Trae to the NBA helps with recruiting. Should be a very easy exercise to back that statement up with some evidence right?

Nope. I suspect it's very rare that a recruit relies on a single data point in choosing where to go to school. There are multiple factors at play, some of them easily defined, measured and identified, many of them not. But I think all would agree that a) the more positives a program has to present to recruits, the better, and b) the success of Blake, Buddy and Trae is a positive.

That said, it doesn't guarantee it'll be enough to convince any particular recruit to become a Sooner, but it sure can't hurt.

If your argument is truly that sending players to the league doesn't help the program (and it must be, given that that is all the poster you responded to said), you are, I suspect, a minority of one. And if we had no former players who were successes at the next level, I have no doubt whatsoever, you’ll be throwing that in our faces. That's how trolls operate.
