The magic number to win the big 12 ....3 losses?

I'm thought earlier this the magic number would be three and I still feel that way . I know the two top teams already have one loss apiece but both were on the road at arguably the top 3 teams in the conference .

I assume ou will drop one at Morgantown or Ames , and probably one more road game we don't expect ( Texas, Baylor , Ksu)

In think to assure ourselves at least a tie for the conference , we need all wins at home and no more then two more on the road .

Agree /disagree??? Is 4 losses the magic number ?

The last three years, 13-5, 14-4, and 14-4 won it. I don't see this year being much different. I think 14-4 wins it this year.

I hope you are right . The bigger the number the better for OU . We don't have a good road win yet .

Three or four losses sounds about right, I'd say. Gotta love my in-depth analysis... Lol

15-3 probably wins it out right, 14-4 might, 13-5 and there is most likely a tie breaker scenario

Agree totally. To get to 15-3, there can NO hiccups like losing to a bottom tier team on the road. IMO, I believe 14-4 gets at least a share of the title this year.

Going to be extremely difficult to finish with only 3 losses. Hope our guys are up for the challenge. I agree also 4 will be enough, Kansas isn't near as good this year.

Question... What record in conference will win the B12 AND get you a #1 seed?

The Big 12 is rated as the best conference by most valid computer rankings. Whoever wins the regular season will be a #1 seed regardless of what happens in the Big 12 tournament. If for some strange reason the Big were not to get a #1 (I don't see that happening), they would get two #2s, a #3 and probably a #4/5......the conference is that good this year. I also believe that the Big 12 will get a team into the tournament with an 8-10 conference record.
