The NBA Playoffs/Thunder/Blake Thread

Props to RW & KD. They played like superstars the last 2 games of the series...

SA v Portland
OKC v LA

Indiana v Washington
Miami v Brooklyn

When all is said & done I suspect the top 4 seeds advance again.

Maybe but I think 2 match-ups are in question. Indiana doesn't seem like it's playing well late in the season and almost lost to Atlanta, and Washington beat the Bulls. I really like John Wall and Nene. That should be an interesting series.

The Thunder and Clippers should be another good series. Paul and Griffin are tough for the Clips just as Westbrook and Durant are for the Thunder. Jordan is just an animal on the boards. I think it's a pick 'em series.

I think either Washington or the Clippers wins and goes to the Conference finals.

I would like to see the Bullets take out Indy ... but as much as I like them I think the Pacers roll. hard. Atlanta gave them a great wake-up call.

I hope OKC learned to play with more intensity, protect the ball better, and RW has seen the light about looking for others' shots first. If not they will LOSE to the Clips.

If OKC can get Jordan in foul trouble, Clips won't have a chance.

Don't think the clips match up well. Especially if okc sticks with butler over seph. KD will have a field day on Barnes. Ibaka is the kind of defender Blake with struggle against. Butler is better than Redick. Paul is a push with Westbrook.

It really does come down to Jordan dominating. He's the X factor. The clips only win if he controls the paint at both ends.

Blake Griffin doesn't struggle against Ibaka, he actually has his best games against him. Ibaka is a really good help defender, but one on one, he is mediocre at best. Dirk, Blake, LA eat him alive.

Blake's stats vs OKC this year in 4 games.

Averages:

25pts, 10 boards, while shooting 49.3% from the field.

Hope Blake and the Clippers win the series and move on.

Of course, but he won't get in foul trouble guarding Kendrick Perkins. Maybe when he helps out on others..... I wouldn't be surprised to see Hack-a-Jordan anytime he gets the ball in the paint. Make him beat the Thunder from the line. Perkins and Adams are more likely to get in trouble guarding Jordan.

1. OKC will send people to the glass, DJ will pick up some cheapies there.
2. Dubs didn't have a slasher like Westbrook to attack the rim, DJ will be needed to protect the restricted area more.

If DJ is a non-factor, the OKC perimeter will have a field day on the Clips.

Paul is a push with Westbrook? Ha!

And Butler is better than Redick? What are you smoking?

I'm concerned but the offense was fine tonight minis the turnovers. The clips likely won't play that well again on o. Don't get me wrong, the thunder d was again atrocious but the clips were hitting everything. I still think we can win but will be tough.

Silver lining is brooks continues to get exposed

The first game went about like I thought it might. I think the Clippers are that much better, and they have more depth. The key is that I just haven't seen OKC play defense like they need to in order to win this series.

But, it was one game.

I'm sandbagging! Still a long ways to go!!

Here's a scary thought. Put Durant with Wall & Beal in his hometown DC in a couple years.
