There were never two post players in the game at the same time tonight for the Sooners. This is the official thread to discuss that fact and what you think that means.

Personally, I do not have any opinion on the subject. Except it's bad news for Ryan Wright's future playing time at OU.

There shouldnt have been. And despite that fact, we still couldn't defend the perimeter. We had 4 guards and still couldn't defend the perimeter is the story.

Also pretty telling of Willis that we played 4 guards all game, and he never saw the court.

If we had two post players out there together, one of them would not have been able to guard anyone. Even in the 2-3 zone it would not have been to our advantage to have two out their together. The rotation of the zone would've been entirely too slow.

If they extended the zone they could have placed two post players to clog up the middle but then again some would call that strategy.

On the bright side, if Houston would've exploited this weakness they would've only been scoring two at a time instead of three.

I think it says that we don't have any sort of identity right now and are searching for one.

Weren't Tiny and Orlando on the court at the same time? The defensive principle should be we guard the outside so close their shooters are filtered to the middle. Invite them to drive and give our shot blockers a target.

We actually had a post player on the floor for only 36 of 40 minutes. Matchups.......remember, Houston does not go with a true post.
