It use to be pretty obvious that the women shot free throws better than the guys. But watching the OU men tonight, it occurred to me the guys are shooting FT's better (although they are admittedly struggling in other phases).

Has it changed or is it just due to the particular players we have right now - both women and men? Why have our girls had so much trouble shooting them the past couple of years?

Admittedly we (the OU women) did improve on that quite a bit last year when we got later in the season.

We are in the middle of the pack in free throw shooting.

Sometimes, it is who. I'd prefer that Woodard or Hield take the free throws. Coustins is at 450. Spangler is at 619. Walker and Lattin are at 600 and 500. The team is at 699 because Hield shoots so many, and Woodard is next.

Kay Kay and Vivi shoot more of our free throws, and they are at 644 and 600. Peyton, Maddie, and Gabbi shoot well, but don't get a lot. When games are closer, they will be bringing the ball up the court at the end of the games, and they will get to shoot a lot of free throws. I think our bench shoots worse than in the past, and they get a lot of time.
