Several things from last nights game.

Spangler and Clark will be OK inside. They are unlikely to face a more physical inside challenge than last night. Michigan State has a bevy of stars. I thought they held their own most of the time against a very physical front court.

We need more depth. We were basically 6 deep last night. Not much help from the bench and even Hornbeak didn't help that much. Jalon has to get his game going. Neal and Booker have to help against the top teams. Bennett did OK in his time on the court so you could say we were 7 deep in the second half when Neal was basically not used.

I suspect that last night was one of the shortest bench Kruger has used in a while.

Cousins is coming along nicely. Buddy good but disappears at times. Woodard basically good but he still tries the impossible at times. Welcome to Div I ball.

Clark showing what he was recruited to do. Not likely to be that hot very often but his overall game is really improving. Kruger sent him a message last year by making him come off the bench. He reacted nicely by working hard to improve his game in the off season.

Kruger is not above a little tough love and sending messages. Neal should have got one last night when he was barely used in the second half after his gaffs in the first half. Booker also should have got one when he spent the entire game on the pines.

Yeah Hornbeak has been a disappointment, but Cousins is better than I thought he would be.

Hornbeak will produce this year. Don't give up on him yet. I also think Neal is going to help this team this year. We really need him to shoot well from the outside so he can use his athleticism to beat bigger guys off the dribble and with cuts.
