He signed a 7 year deal in 2011 which will have 4 years left after this season. Need to add 3-5 years right now to extend him until 68-70 years old. He's in great shape.
Everything is proceeding better than expected. He is building this team with high school recruits which has never been done successfully. This could be the best era in OU basketball history. Don't want any distractions like people negative recruiting us because he will be 65 when his contract runs out. After this season that would be an issue for high school recruits because his contract would expire and he would be 65 before those recruits finished at OU.
