Tiny's quotes on the situation

Not sure if you are serious, but tell us all of these facts that you know that implicate OU.

I am sure you read the same article, here is the lead to refresh your memory.

NORMAN — Oronde Taliaferro, the former Oklahoma assistant basketball coach who abruptly resigned last month, exchanged at least 41 phone calls and 25 text messages over a 10-month period with a Tampa, Fla., financial adviser who reportedly wired $3,000 into the bank account of former OU forward Tiny Gallon.

And?

Do you know what the texts and calls were about? I'm presuming you've seen the transcripts...or are you just in such a hurry to be embarrassed by a bunch of cheaters at OU that you are "connecting the dots".

Because OU deserves the benefit of the doubt. Its not like they weren't on probabtion or anything.

Who did Taliaferro work for? Who hired Taliaferro? Yes, Capel has something to do with this.

Ok let me slow this down for you so you can understand it, we are on probation for something Capel had nothing to do with. The only thing he is guilty of is being a bad judge of character which he would most likely admit to if asked. That does not mean that he knew about any of this. People do **** all the time without their boss finding out, and when the boss does find out, they are usually fired.

But Capel was aware of the fact that the program was on probation? Correct?

Again all he has done is trust someone he shouldn't have. So has everyone else in the world at one time or another. That's part of maturing as a human being, and in Capel's case as a coach.

I have no idea how this will turn out in the long run. Neither does anyone else. All we have a this point is a collection of very few facts and a lot of innuendo.

I do know that those in charge at OU want their coaches to do things the 'right way'.

I also know that if they thought Capel was complicit in anything like the innuendo hints at, he would already be gone.

As for benefit of the doubt, the NCAA knows that we do our best to police these types of things ourselves. We don't stonewall them. We work with them as much as possible. So, yes, I think we have earned a little bit of 'benefit of the doubt'. The ones who don't get any benefit of the doubt are those who don't cooperate (USC) or those who profess to be pure as the driven snow (Texas).

I'm sorry if you feel embarrassed. Maybe you should educate yourself on the things that Calapari and coaches of his ilk do. That will give you a little bit of perspective on embarrassment.

So, according to some people here, USC does not deserve any punishment since Carrol,Floyd and the players involved are gone?

We Got Punished for Kelvin and Bomar after they left so that argument is weak. I'm not saying we wont get punished, I'm saying Jeff won't lose his job. We will prolly have a post season ban since the NCAA won't take away used scholarships. We might not get Cade's next year either

If I was sitting in the same room with you, listening to this drivel, I would have walked out long ago.

How about letting the people who are actually connected to this situation, and are much more informed, and capable of finding the truth, find out what they can, and make whatever decision they feel is the right, based on the facts.

Instead, you want to string up the entire school because they embarrased you, based on hearsay. You sir, need to take a long walk off a short pier.

This Glory guy sounds A LOT like a couple of the "regulars" on the "other board"...

Why, because I am not a lemming that will take whatever kool-aid is offered and never criticize my school?

Glory, if all you want to do is gripe and complain, you need to find somewhere else to do it. Your act is already old here. You sound more like an Aggie than a Sooner.

If I am going off the deep end, then you guys are staying in the kiddie pool.

Show me where I said Capel should be fired?

I have said that Capel, and Joe C. need to be held accountable because OU, and NCAA violations are becoming a pattern. If I am Pres. Boren I would have Joe C. in my office and it would not be a pleasant meeting. And I would hope that Joe has had Capel in his office and had a not very pleasant meeting.
