According to rivals.

Grooms is the only new Sooner to crack the list.

Sam Grooms, Oklahoma, PG – Grooms averaged 11 points and six assists for a Chipola (Fla.) Junior College squad that was ranked second in the country for most of the season. Grooms is ranked as the No. 3 junior college prospect in the country. He is often compared to former North Carolina standout Ty Lawson because of his speed up and down the court.

It seems like if Osby does come in have a big impact it will be under the radar to most in the nation. Not that I blame them considering his production at his last stop, but he should prove them wrong.

that guy is really bad at predicting which new big 12 players will make an impact next year.

Maybe I am not very smart but I don't see how Baylor will have 4 major impact guys with the return of Acy, P. Jones, A. Jones, Ellis, Love, Morgan and Walton. It seems to me that is returning 7 of your top 8 players. If Baylor does have a major impact from 4 new players, they are going to be pretty good.

Love transferred out, and Pierre Jackson is expected to start over Walton.

That still leaves a lot of talent. If Baylor is really bringing 4 guys that will have an impact they are goinge to be talented and deep. I didn't even mention Dennison, he averaged 8 a game when he played.

that was one of the things i thought was so stupid as well. from what i've read, bello is extremely athletic, but doesn't, at this point, have guard skills. so he's basically liimited to playing the 3. and he's going to get enough minutes to make any sort of impact in front of jones, jones, acy, ellis and miller? gmafb.

scott drew will revolutionize coaching next year by playing 8 guys at once.

I really don't care. If you are one of the ones that were making statements like "I'm glad he's dead" then you are pathetic human being that isn't worth knowing.

You are right. Quincy Miller will have a big impact as you would expect any top 10 national player to do. I doubt Bello will play a lot. Someone has to replace Lace's minutes so you will likely see big contributions from 2 of these three (Heslip, Jackson or Gary Franklin). Baylor likes to keep a short rotation.

They may go 9 just because they have lots of depth. I predict:

Frontcourt: Acy, Quincy Miller, Anthony Jones, Perry Jones, Jefferson

Backcourt: Franklin, Heslip, Walton, Jackson

i watched a fair bit of cal bball last year. they got better when franklin left. maybe he's matured/improved, but i'll have to see it to believe it. imo, baylor's chances of success depend entirely on jackson. if he isn't a big 12 quality pg right off the bat, they're not going to achieve what they should with their frontcourt talent.

in a way, they're a little like the 2007-08 kstate team with beasley and walker. great frontcourt talent, but subpar guards. baylor has a lot more frontcourt depth than that team, but is just as thin in the backcourt. i'm not sure how valuable depth is when your best 4 players all play the same position (more or less).

That is pretty much my point. I just don't see how all of these guys make a major contribution. If they do, Baylor will probably win the Big XII.

The recruiting by Scott Drew is pretty impressive. If he could learn to be great at teaching basketball, Baylor is going to become a serious power. The guy can recruit with the best of them but I question his system. His offense lacks discipline.

Actually he said this: osama & now austin, god's on a roll.

I would punch every single one of these idiots in the face.
