I dunno. I moan about refs like almost everyone else but I would rather a coach complain behind the scenes to his league or wherever the appropriate outlet resides. Putting this out in public doesn’t seem right. I agree that refs should not get emotional to the best of their human abilities and I wish they were better trained in some areas. But perhaps the NCAA needs to also invest in referees becoming a little bit larger piece of the big sports economy.

I don't know what happened here and I agree that often refs overreact and try to make themselves part of the game. We saw this the other day w the BS Tech on James. But Mick Cronin is hardly the right guy to deliver this message. He routinely loses his cool and spends much of his time screaming at refs and his players. So if we're going to criticize refs for being out of control, let's do that for coaches like Cronin and Fran McCaffrey also.

Couldn't agree more, Cronin calling anyone out for their attitude and trying to make themselves part of the show is beyond ironic. Doesn't mean his underlying message is wrong, but he needs to look in the mirror before getting on his soapbox.
