That’s a bit of an overreaction. I know it hurts to lose out on a recruit, but let’s see how the portal season plays out before we make absolute judgments.Perception is reality in the SEC. Is the talent on the roster, as a whole, better? No. No one in the portal right now will help that for OU. All those athletes are committed elsewhere, most to SEC schools who OU will get to play. Chavez will likely be a transfer target for the big-time teams next year, due to how bad the roster management in Norman is shaping up to be.
I hold coaches accountable. Prove me wrong, great, and I eat crow. You went after Moser on the men's side as well until he had a top 5 SEC (if not better) portal class.
2 of the top 25 transfer portal prospects are uncommitted, and I haven't really heard OU mentioned for either of them. That’s a bit of an overreaction. I know it hurts to lose out on a recruit, but let’s see how the portal season plays out before we make absolute judgments.
Goes back to money. Why are we so financially strapped compared to other P4 schools? Doesn’t add up2 of the top 25 transfer portal prospects are uncommitted, and I haven't really heard OU mentioned for either of them.
I think if we are putting them at 1 position then Zya is the starting SG and Payton at SF. The 2/3/4 can all be pretty interchangeable on offense our system...it is defense where you need a bigger 4 if you are playing someone that plays bigger.
As of today, yes Zya could be put in as a 3rd guard, but at SG? She hasn’t developed her shot enough for that. Her optimal position would be backup PG, leading the 2nd groupI think if we are putting them at 1 position then Zya is the starting SG and Payton at SF. In Jennie recent press conference she was VERY high on Brooklyn. Made it seem like she was going to get significant minutes. With her being 6’2/6’3 with her midrange game along with her shooting 3’s is going to be tough to defend. She also Spoke highly on Keziah as well but also said she isn’t 100% healthy just yet, she said she is hoping Keziah is 100% when she gets on campus.Brooklyn Stewart may be good enough to get significant minutes at the S F/PF positions. Hoping so.
Yes I believe we are. She would be great in OU’s system. She’s is just like Skylar but probably better skill wise. Also I think we are looking at Ndjakalenga Mwenentanda a 6’3/6’4 who can play the 3 or the 4.If OU get E Rodriquez. OU will be fine. One of the people said OU was top 3 for her.
She was never offered by any legitimate top 25 teams. Not the type of player to help us compete in the SEC is my assumption. What happened with Talia Vann? She should have been in this recruiting class? She has some size!
This former Texas player could be a target. As we know, info is really hard to obtain.
