Is there a significant difference in things like travel and living accommodations coming from Maine or Pacific to play at OU?

I just wonder if that's a thing for recruiting. Is it like moving up in the baseball farm system when you xfer to a school with a football-infused budget?

i would think it would be a huge difference ... form bus trips and comericial air to charter planes .. food better hotels nicer .. ect

as far as travel, their is a big difference, as far as living conditions, I'm not sure how off campus apartments vary from those places to Norman, but if they are living in Headington, that is most likely way nicer than any dorm they had at their old school

thanks. I've just always wondered if it was like the difference between being in AA ball or being called up.

Yeah, I think there is a huge difference, the bigger budget schools have a big edge in all that stuff. KU just opened a new dorm a year or two ago that houses all their basketball players and it is basically a luxury apartment complex.

My daughter walked on and made the KU row team. She was the last one taken.

She got about 800$ worth of gear, to keep, a meal ticket to the athlete's cafeteria, access to study hall help, the athletic "pharmacy", health snacks/drinks etc. They bused to Tulsa for a row...they got tons of food on the trip.

Son got a "full" ride (KS jayhawk league rules only tuition/books) to D1 JUCO in baseball...he basically got about $1200 a semester from KCK and $500 from Coffeyville..which neither paid for much.

So..yeah D1 is quite different
