The only disappointment is that Steve Henson is no longer on staff to teach the textbook on how to become the most hated player in the conference.

Must point out here that Coach had the intel on this at least a day in advance. Where are all the guys who claim his info is just a regurgitation of stuff already on Twitter?

Forgot to comment on Trey Phipps. I think this is a great pick up! You can’t have too many pure scorers/shooters like him.

He reminds me of Joe Girrad, who we went after a little bit last year from NY. Kid is the NY state HS all time leading scorer and one of the best shooters in the country last year. Joe has a similar build being a 6'1" SG but he can fill it up. Duke came calling late but I don't think they offerd but he had Michigan, Baylor, Notre Dame, Stanford and Washington offering before choosing Syracuse.
I'm not sure if other schools will come knocking at the door for Phillps but they probably should. Kid can shoot lights out.

If you can ask a question like "is this person the best shooter in the country", that can only be a good thing.
I must admit, I know nothing about him. He seems tiny though... Like, 5'11'' or 6'0'' 140 pounds tiny. I know Rivals has him listed at more than that.... but the kid looks 12 years old.
