Tulsa

also being mentioned is Tubby Smith and Rick Menesis (sp?)at New Mex State

Marvin Menzies is the NMSU coach. I'm not a big fan of him. He has recruited lots of Canadians - and well, recently, though.

Quin mentioned earlier. Now Gary Parrish is tweeting about Haith as an option.

Please, TU, take our current reject and not our old one. Save is from the downward spiral.

Really hoping Tulsa doesn't make this mistake!!

That seems a bit out of nowhere. He must really not be liked at Mizzou.

This does not really excite me as a TU fan. :/

Mizzou: You take us to NIT? No pay raise for you for NIT!
Haith: That's what you think...

Remember the good ol' days of pro-Frank Haith propaganda littering this board.

lol at missouri

lol at Tulsa is more like it.

Vast majority of Mizzou fans wanted to move on from Haith. He'd done enough that on paper it would look bad to fire him. This gets us a new coach anyway.

Guys don't move from major conferences to C-USA unless they're encouraged to look.

Like the days of Quin propaganda on Mizzou boards around 2001. Or Capel propaganda when Blake Griffin was there.

Easy to convince yourself a mediocre coach is great when his players carry him higher than he can carry himself. Haith has a lot of good qualities, but he's one of those guys who is just good enough to avoid being fired at most programs. Turns out his first year was largely a biproduct of a team pissed at Anderson. Haith modified his style to fit that team. But then he went straight back to the crap he was doing at Miami.

Main difference is we weren't going to Mizzou boards arguing for Capel...you went out of your way to "convince" us.

Uninspiring hire. They could and should have done a lot better.
