Underwood headed to Illinois

Wow! Surprised. Maybe it's their AD, Holder.

Maybe Gottlieb WILL get the job after all. LOL

I'm shocked! I thought Underwood would be in Stillwater for a long time. It would be interesting to know why he decided to take the Illini job?

It's not owned by T. Boone Pickens?

Do they have any recruits worth poaching?

Maybe because he made less than a million for what he's done? I mean, I'm sure he was getting a raise, but I also don't doubt that Ok State wouldn't give him a big raise. They would be cheap with him

Obviously money talks, but I have a hard time believing he couldn't have worked out a new money deal with OSU.

This is a pretty BS move by Underwood. Quitting on OSU a day after the season ends out of nowhere.

Kind of a scumbag move.

Continues to come out that Underwood wanted a bigger salary, around the average of the Big 12, and that he was promised when he took the job last year, that if he won, they'd renegotiate with him on it. He won with them, and it looks like Holder didn't want to renegotiate. It's been reported by two different people that Underwood's camp and Holder were talking about a raise, but they wanted the average of the league, and Holder didn't want to go anywhere near 2 million.

You get what you deserve.

It'll be interesting to see if this makes Evans go pro because of a coaching change. Pokes shoulda paid up to keep a great coach.

When players are tweeting "wow ", does that mean he didn't even have the balls to tell them?

I don't know if I would go so far as to call him great, but OSU should have paid up. People whine about our administration's commitment to basketball - this speaks volumes to OSU's.
