Wannah Bail and Jarmal Reid are two new 2012 Recruits by William Jennings

Wannah Bail? For real?

That is awesome.

Sounds like Bail is the more athletic of the two and Reid is the more skilled.

Never seen Reid first hand, but I can assure you there are few players as athletic as Bail in the entire country - regardless of class. In fact, I'd go so far as to say you'd be hard pressed to find more athletic length in the D1 college ranks.

Bail truly is a rare physical presence. He reminds me of a less-polished version of Hakim Warrick at Syracuse. When he's plugged in, he's literally all over the place. He's a terror in the full court, both in transition on offense, and in the press and trapping on defense. Covers the court effortlessly and quickly.

He has started to develop a consistent jump shot to 19ft, and can create to the rim off one or two dribbles; however, he has little skill in the low post and struggles with the rare long, athletic wing that can get up in his jersey on the perimeter and can stay there.

He's showed a good work ethic and has steadily improved lacking parts of his game, since I first saw him a couple of years ago. There's no reason to believe he won't continue getting better at those weaknesses in the future. He will likely be a stud in college!

The one suprising thing in interviewing him was he seemed to have alot of interest in Houston. He referred to James Dickey and their staff alot. It will be interesting to see in a school like Houston can land a top 50 guy like Bail.

When I spoke to Jarmal Reid's AAU coach, Anthony Hardnett, he made it clear to me that OU was recruiting a few players on his team pretty aggressively. Brandon Morris a 6'7 wing and Tony Parker a 6'9 center were two prospects from Miller Grove High School in Georgia that the staff was targeting. Tony Parker is highly regarded nationally and Morris himself is a top 150 candidate that's improving.

Does ANY school that signs Wannah Bail actually expect him to stick around for 4-5 years?

I think so. He's raw as far as basketball skills are concerned.

Depending on the college system he plays in, coupled with his ability to grow his game, I can absolutely see him exiting college early. He's definitely that kind of talent. Even with pedestrian college stats, he would be a first-round-type talent. Of course ANYTHING can happen between now and then; however I think that's a decent bet considering his current trajectory.

Are you saying that with the right situation that after a year or two he may wannah bail?

Knowing CoolM as I do, I have a feeling his observation was more of a play on words than a prediction that this recruit may exit early. I'm sure he will deny that's what he was doing to make me look bad. :D

Anyway, your analysis on this kid and all of the others you provide is much appreciated, SoonerDAZE!

LOL! Flew right over my head. Duh, that was a good one :)

Thanks for the kind words. BTW, don't know if you're from Ada, but my mother and father both graduated from Ada High

Yes, I'm from Ada. Are you in awe of the creativity I used to come up with a username? lol

Interesting about your mother and father. We need to talk about your connections here.
