The season is starting to grind and I know some of the guys have to be feeling it. I never thought I would say this but we missed Sam Grooms last night. We need to get all hands on deck for this next stretch. We have some special opportunities ahead of us and teams will use what Baylor and OState did us with pressure if our ball handling doesn't get better.

What those teams did to OU was lose. If I were a coach I would model my game on what KSU and KU did.

Agreed but KU and KState are better and better coached than Baylor and OState too. No one else in the league can do what the 2 Kansas teams can because of personnel and coaching. If these other teams are smart, they will come after us like Baylor and OState did the entire game and not wait until they get way behind. MY POINT is we struggle with ball pressure, especially without Grooms. Hopefully we will adjust and it won't be an issue moving forward.

I think we struggle with ball pressure when we are trying to slow down.
Teams don't press us all game because, first, they'd get tired, and second, with a line-up of Hornbeak, Hield, Pledger, M'Baye, and Osby we have 5 capable ball handlers on the floor. And aside from Pledger, they are all very athletic.
If we break the press, there's a good chance we'll be able to find Pledger open on the wing or get one of our forwards above the rim.

I don't really agree. I think ball handling against good pressure, consistent shooting, and defensive rebounding are the main weak spots of our team. The ball handling and rebounding will improve once Woodard and Spangler are available but we need to tighten those areas up as much as we can.

One thing to remember is, except for TCU and Iowa State, we have played each team once. Those return games will be played differently than the first. I think we should expect to see more ball pressure from other teams not less.
