I saw Q Grimes ( College Park The Woodlands, Tx) play at The Woodlands HS last year. I did not know that he was a Soph. He was one of their better players. Looking at his recent videos, he has really improved.

You know where I stand. Recent flurry of U.K. picks scared me but I'm still saying OU.

Judging by his response to Hale's questions, I would say you're stop on with your assessment. That said, he still plans to take his official visits to Texas Tech next week, and to Kentucky on October 14th and KU on the 21st.

I'm optimistic, too. But I won't rest easy until he signs a LOI with OU.

I hope we get him but I doubt we get him. I know that's negative but two last stops to Kentucky and Kansas has me fearful.

If that's true, why is he even considering Kentucky? I realize he's a top-15 recruit, but he isn't even guaranteed to start there. Who's to say Calipari won't sign TWO highly rated point guards? Assuming he does start, will he be their best player, 5th best player or somewhere in between?

Coach Cal will clean up in March/April with everyone he wants who is unsigned...another reason we need Trae to commit before then. Otherwise, we have to hope UK has a great PG this year who decides to stay in college one more year. I just hope Trae understands that he's just as likely to be a high 1st round NBA pick if he goes to OU as he would at UK...just look at Blake and Buddy. He won't make one dime less playing basketball for a living if he goes to OU instead of UK.
