Not saying they deserve it, but they are not getting much love overall.

They're getting a lot of love from human polls, but not as much from SOS and efficiency-based polls. They're SOS is 309 at kenpom and 311 at sagarin. One of the statistically worst schedules in the nation so far.

We dropped four spots in the NET overnight, undoubtedly due to Florida’s awful loss. But with Arky, Auburn, and the Big 12 slate still to come, we will have plenty of chances to climb if we win enough games.

Going to have a chance to really create a resume in conference play. So many good teams in the Big 12 this year.

We have a good team and I think at least a top 25 team. We do have weaknesses:

1) We a little undersized in the middle.

2) We have one really consistent outside shooters and when he is cold we suffer. We need someone else to emerge. Jacob seems to have the ability but he has really struggled. Cortes has the rep but he has to pull the trigger. We have to get more from the bench.

3) When a team with quick guards penetrate we seem to lack the ability to stop them from fairly easy baskets.

But, we do have a new coach with new players. I think we will imporve all the way up to March. Our defense will probably be the best in the conference. Our players really seem to have bought in and eventually that will show up in the won loss column.

We have had two really bad stretches resulting in the two losses. Think where we would be had we won those two games.

I agree with everything SoonerinKC, except that we might have the best defense in the conference. Baylor and Texas Tech are better defensive teams than us, hands-down.

We don't have the athletic presence in the middle that those teams have and lack a little defensive savvy (and certainly perimeter size) on the bench.

It’s great that the teams at the bottom are so much better than last season. Once conference starts, their computer rankings won’t drop much since they won’t have any chances for bad losses. That helps all the rest of the teams, because losing to a KSU won’t hurt nearly as much as it did last year.

We’ve played some pretty bad teams and didn’t perform great against those teams, especially offensively. That’s holding us back.

We haven’t beaten anyone in the top 50 and have one awful loss on our resume. If Arkansas and Florida were as good as some people think, our resume would be much better, but neither of them is very good. Arkansas is ranked behind every Big 12 team, for perspective.
