I'm often critical of the officiating, but for the most part, I thought they did a really good job in this one. They didn't let the home crowd intimidate them, let the game flow, and called the on-ball hand checking and bumps when they needed to be called. I'm sure there were some nits to pick on both sides, but overall I give the officials credit where it's due.

Yep. They missed Walker's block shot out of bounds. And one of the fouls on Lattin. And I believe the back court violation - Hield wasn't established.

But I agree, good job.

Oh Lord..... now you asked for it.....paging Skyvue and Denver in...3...2...1.....

Agreed. This crew did a bang up job of officiating tonight. Props to them for making some tough calls in a hotly contested game in front of a huge, rowdy crowd.

I have no complaints!

There were no glaring OMG calls or whistles swallowed when they should obviously have been blown, but I think ISU fouled more than 6 times in the second half.

Forgot the Walker block. That was a bad miss. But in terms of the "way" the game was called, I thought they did an excellent job.

I'm not sitting here burning with anger so it must have been pretty well officiated. However, I think these two teams play an easier game to officiate than most. Refs still made some mistakes but no one has ever called a basketball game without making some.

Home Court in conference play in a venue like @ ISU and KU is probably worth 8 pts (4 pts is the supposed average). Refs pretty much fell in line with that and that's about as much as you ask for.

The over and back was botched, Buford's foul on his three was not, bad miss on Walker, bad moving screen on Lattin, buddy fouled on last drive. ISU with 10 more FTs. Agree flow was good, overall it was okay, I guess

Agreed on the refs making some mistakes and they let the players decide the game. Now if we can see that the rest of the year it would be amazing. You always will have questionable calls in every game.

I would like to hear from some of our former officials on the over and back because as I understand things that was a really bad call.

The walker three sucked but I can see how that could be missed. Quite frankly, I am not positive I saw the guy touch the ball, I just know he had to have touched it because it was about two feet short of the basket and Walker had a good look without being overly rushed.

I liked the flow of the game but I do agree with MsProudSooner. Niang sets a lot of moving screens.

Game after game goes by without me saying a word about the officiating, but you don't notice those, do you?

By all means, feel free respond to any post I make on this board, but don't call me out when you don't have an inkling what I thought of the game.

The Lattin moving screen was terrible and at a very important part of the game.

Other than that and the over and back it was a good game for the zebras

Agreed. I think it was pretty well officiated. There were a few calls that went our way that I thought we were fortunate to get and a few I thought should have gone our way but didn't.

I think the backcourt call was correct. As I said in another thread, I'm almost certain -- I felt at the time also -- that Hield was established in the frontcourt and then touched the ball before he re-established himself in the backcourt.
