Tonight's result between KU/WV will yield good things either way. If KU wins we just have to beat them at home and we clinch the 2 seed in the big 12 tourney(via tiebreaker-ISU got swept by Baylor the 4th place team) and if WV PULLS OF A FRIGGIN' MIRACLE and wins in the PHOG then we have a shot at the Big 12 title on Saturday. Still things to look forward to in regular season. Take care of business and we get that 3 seed in the NCAAs. Last night was rough but have moved on as I'm sure our team has because they are upper classmen and can't let crap hang around. Boomer sooner fellas!

That's actually incorrect. We need Iowa St. to lose or WVU to lose both their remaining games to get the 2 seed, and that's assuming Baylor beats Tech. Iowa St went 0-2 vs Baylor but went 2-0 vs. WVU so both our records against those 2 teams would be 2-2. It would then go to our records against the next team or teams which we will lose due to our 0-2 record against KSU.

Yes but Baylor went 2-0 against wv so they will have the tie breaker against WV making them the higher of the 2 in the standings and we went 1-1 against Baylor and ISU went 0-2. You have to adjust for tiebreakers when it gets that deep. That's why they have the draw order.

Not how it works.
If you're going down the standings, if two teams are tied, you go to total record against the tied teams. So if Baylor and WVU are tied, and you're trying to break a tie between OU and ISU, you look at each teams record against BOTH Baylor and WVU (2-2 in OU's case, and 2-2 in ISU's case). We need Baylor to finish ahead of WVU to win that tiebreaker.
