One of my co workers in houston asked me that the other day and I couldnt give him an answer...I thought he liked the four guy attack but with the recent post players we should have a ton of post guys that need playing time

can anyone help me answer this? does capel have a style?

I think that they will have to pick and choose when to run and when to pull up. We do have big athletic guys that can run the floor, but we also need not to turn it into a track meet.
I think we will need to score in open court, if not I think we will struggle to score at times.

So Im not sure he has a "style"... But there is my 2 cents...

one of my complaints about Capel is that he has no offensive identity, no one knows what style of offense is Capels

Capel's offense is to give the ball to the best NBA prospect and hope he scores. This offense has had varying degrees of success.

If you have payed close attention the last four years you see similarities between Kelvin and Jeff when it comes to offense. They both run a lot of set plays in halfcourt although Jeff DID TRY last year to use a motion offense which unfortunately OU lacked the team chemistry to run.One major difference is Capel wants to play through the post and go inside out when he has a viable post option.Kelvin by contrast almost exclusively used his post players to pick and screen and set up his perimeter players.Capel and Sampson also both claim to want to run WHEVER POSSIBLE.

Obviously neither of them have watched Anderson at Missou,Richardson at Arky or Billy at OU.If they did they would realize you can push tempo on made baskets as well as off the boards.Personally I want to see uptempo ball, without much inside scoring this team will need to run the floor for easy shots because otherwise we are looking at a lot of contested jumpers from mostly 15 feet on out.

On the plus side I think with Clark,Taylor,Pledger,Newell,Blair we have enough athletes on the perimeter to play some pressure D and run off that. That is my sincere hope anyhow.I am just hoping for solid D and rebounding from our frontcourt whoever that may be.

I think he wants to run motion. He couldn't with Blake because he was so much better and you would do everybody a disservice by not running everything through him. Last year's team was a disaster doing it, and I think it was because we had me-first PG's (TMG moreso than Willie even). I really can't remember what we did in his first year, but we started going to Carter a lot, but it was kind of a bad offensive team in general.

I have seen no evidence so far that he wants an uptempo offense. I have heard him SAY he does but those words do not seem to translate into uptempo on the court. Honestly, I don't really care as long as we start winning the games that we should win. Plus, at this point, I am really more concerned with what goes on with defense than I am with offense.
