That is my second pick. Perfect world, BCG and Evans comes on as assistant, although I think Terry could do a good job here given the chance.

OK...I know I defended Capel, but I also said I would support any decision Joe C. made.....and I will support whoever he hires.


I would be very interested to see him go back to his former attempt and get Geno A from U Conn......I would love to see how he would do on the men's side.


My list would be as follows (and in no particular order)


Geno A (I just think he is a very good coach....and I also think he would be a very solid recruiter)

Billy Clyde G (Texas high school coaches LOVE Billy G...he would rake in TX high school recruits)

Terry Evans (he has done a tremendous job at UCO and I think he would pull in a lot of the Oklahoma kids we have traditionally lost the last few years...and you could have made a very good DI program with a lot of those kids)

Johnny Jones (he has done a GREAT job at North Texas....and probably had a better team than we had this year.....so you'd think he could do a LOT at OU)

Tubby Smith (because I like him and he has connections in Oklahoma/Arkansas area......gimme' those recruits!!!!!)


last but not least......anyone who would make me an assistant. LMAO



I know there is nothing new in my list....but these are the guys I would like to see most.
 
My top 5 in order:
1) Billy Gillispie
2) Buzz Williams
3) Blaine Taylor
4) Gregg Williams
5) Cuonzo Martin
 
Chris Mack but hearing a lot of Pastner crap.

Pastner is a great young guy....very friendly (we have exchanged messages quite a few times in the past when he was an assistant and right after he got the Memphis job)...he is one of those guys that will treat you like he has known you forever. He would be a good one....but not my first choice.
 
I voted for Greg Marshall, but think Johnny Jones at UNT deserves to be on the list.

If you can have 6 straight 20 win seasons and go to the NCAA Tournament 3 times at UNT (which prior to him getting there was arguably the worst basketball program in college basketball) then you can coach.

Why? Those guys play completely different styles of ball.
 
heck at this point, I would take a Kelvin Sampson clone without the history of phone calls and text messages.
