Why didn't Blair play much

I only watched part of the game (the last 10 minutes) so why wasn't Blair player.

what does that mean? Is 40 Cal Newell? He looked OK to me but Blair had 6 assists to 1 TO in 16 minutes (according to the box score) and OU had used him as the starting pg all season. Is Jeff now deciding Newell is the better pg?

Ya 40 Cal is referring to Newell. At this point I don't even try to figure out our rationale for lineup decisions but I'll just say 40 Cal and Carl both played decent.

It was interesting that Blair had 6 assists in only 16 minutes. He has done that a few times this year. Had 6 assists in very limited minutes. But I keep thinking one game he'll play 35 minutes and have 10+ assists, but it never happens.

I would like to see them play together a little more with Pledger dissapearing since his monster ISU game.

Probably because Carl gave us the awesomeness that was 5 points, 4 assists and 2 turnovers (in 35 minutes) versus A&M. That's bad numbers for a junior high point.

Eight assists and two turnovers from Blair and Newell yesterday. As a team we only had six. KU had 13.

Our inability to rebound cost us any chance to win.

I just don't understand why OU has gone with Newell since December (or about then) and now we see Newell get major minutes. It doesn't make sense to me. Very little of what Coach Capel does makes sense to me. I understood Sampson and I understood Tubbs. I have no clue what Jeff Capel is trying to accomplish or why he does what he does.

Now in fairness to Capel there is more attention due to the internet but Sampson had to deal with the internet for most of his years.

That team would be terrible IMO.

Neither Blair nor Newell handle the ball particularly well, and probably lead the team in turnovers per minute. They are also two of our worst defensive guards.

Clark I'm fine with.

Fitz is a starter right now, obviously.

Neal doesn't add much other than three point shooting when he is on. He doesn't drive. Isn't a particularly good passer. Is undersized guarding 4's. Isn't a strong rebounder. And coupled with Fitz, makes a terrible rebounding team.
