Why is Spangler in there???

I hope you are wrong. He has looked uninterested and average as of late. I love the guy, but he's not looked like a starter lately.
 
Baylor is a really bad match up for Spangler because of how big and athletic they are. He's got to pound with Gathers and battle bigs like Motley and Prince for rebounds. He looked a little lost on offense until he decided to shoot the ball. Once he did, he made some baskets and got back in the groove.

Buford's emergence -- he's played very well of late -- will, I think, allow Kruger to get Spangler some breaks and he'll be fine. But teams with lots of big guys will continue to be very tough for him.
 
Yep. And with Lattin developing that jumper... Only gonna help us in the tourneys.
 
Kruger is not as quick on the trigger as some fans want. If he were we would have not had Spangler or Cousins starting today.

I'm judging by watching him move around in pre game shoot-around and on dead balls in the game. I think he's favoring a leg.

There is no way this is a true statement. You can tell from watching him get up and down the court his knee/leg is hurt. You can tell when he shoots a three now and doesn't use his legs as much, that he doesn't use them to avoid the pain.

I don't know what exactly is wrong with him, but I'd bet quite a bit of money that something is.
 
You guys are crazy. His knee hit an ISU players knee and he left the game for a few minutes. He had a bruise. That is not an injury. The. Fans started speculation to the point that many of you are now positive. However Spangler was quoted in the paper as saying he was fine. Kruger was quoted saying he is fine. A poster relayed that Spangler's dad said he was good to go or something like that. But people on the internet know for a fact.
 
You don't start wearing a sleeve over that knee b/c of a bruise. You certainly don't wear it some weeks later. He wasn't wearing the sleeve until after that game. And maybe not even immediately after that game.

You really think Spangler's dad, or anybody associated with the team is going to make it public that Ryan is playing injured or hurt? That would be stupid. You never let your opposition know stuff like that.
 
You have no idea why he is wearing a sleave. You think you know but you don't and your logic is horrible. On the one hand you say you never let your opponent know you are injured and then say you only wear a sleave if you are injured. Those are inconsistent statements because eating the sleave, according to you, not only lets people know you are hurting, it tells them. A toy where.

If he says he is fine and is starting the. He is fine. Everyone plays through bumps and bruises.
 
Guys we were up 24 with around 6 minutes left in the game and he is still out there?? Why? Rest the guy. Makes zero sense.

Exactly, you really have to contort yourself to continue this line of irrational thought where Spangler is some combination of hurt and or tired. Is Gathers tired or injured? Looked pretty bad out there to me, I'm sure the Baylor boards are fretting over his minutes after today's game, SMH.

I can see merit in sitting him at gat point but I don't buy this rumor gat he is injured or tired.
