Yeah, I know we're interested in a coach from Wisconsin, and a dancing one at that.

But how about the other one, the other dancing coach, the one with the 77% winning record, Bo Ryan?

Yeah, I know he's old but he still has some wiggle and he's ripe for poaching and maybe Joe C. is clever enough to do it.

Here's what I'm getting at. Bo Ryan is a teacher at a Wisconsin state school, not a private one like Buzz is at. Political doings might make Bo a candidate.

You know what's happening with teachers at Wisconsin schools? They're being disrespected, demonized, ordered to de-unionize. It can't be a good thing for the highest paid teacher in the state.

For even if he's given a raise, half the state will hate him, envy him, scorn him. It's a good time to break away. Poach him, Joe.

But can he dance, you ask? It's a requisite of all Wisconsin coaches.

Bo Ryan is an absolute stud. I would be dancing in the streets if we were to hire him. That being said, it won't happen. And I wish you hadn't introduced politics in your post because this thread will invariably turn to poop.

Politics might make him available. Otherwise, there'd be no reason for him to consider a move.

I love the way Wisconsin plays both basketball and football. Tough, physical, fundamentally sound, consistent. Our basketball and football teams could learn a lot from them.

Say what you want, they win games year in and year out. I'm guessing you werent a big Kelvin fan?

No thanks, I'll take our football team over theirs any day.

I'm not saying I would take Wisconsin's football program over ours. What I am saying is that I wish we played with more of a tough, physical, down-hill style like Wisconsin does. I think that's something we can all agree on after seeing ourselves stuffed at the 1 yard line numerous times and it costing us games. If we had more of a physical rushing attack we would have 8 national titles right now.

So basically you care more about us putting on an And-1 tour show out there than winning games.

So every team that doesn't walk the ball up the floor and scores higher than 55 points is an AND-1 team that loses games?

Well...first thing we need is an influx of big white polish guys because Wisconsin has a boatload of them. :ez-laugh:

The teachers aren't being disrespected. The unions are. Public uninions are a joke. They force people to pay dues and spend the money on politics. It simply isn't right for a guy that got money from the uninion to sit on the opposite side of the negotiating table when they negotiate a new contract. This doesn't happen in private uninions. They have to negotiate with managment. You can debate the pros and cons of uninions all you want (there are merits to all sides) but in the public setting it is substantially different than the private setting.
